To help increase awareness of the wide selection of styles and customization options that can be found at La-Z-Boy we identified and invited 10 influential design and DIY bloggers to illustrate how the La-Z-Boy brand and products have transformed. The influencers visited a La-Z-Boy showroom and rushed through it—Super Market Sweeps style—selecting furniture to create their dream room. Over two days, the bloggers assembled their dream rooms in a photography studio for a film crew.
The experience was turned into 10, one-minute long webisodes detailing each influencer’s experience and room design. La-Z-Boy asked America to vote for their favorite room on La-Z-Boy’s Facebook Page for a chance to win $10,000 in La-Z-Boy furniture.
For this project I created a custom lockup to be used across the event materials featured at every touchpoint of the activation, pulling in existing La-Z-Boy textile patterns and texture to create a common visual theme throughout. In addition to the standard and mobile Facebook tabs to house the contest, we also created printed elements to personalize the experience for the bloggers, from from place settings and menus for the dinner event to room drops featuring screen-printed totes and notebooks. Additionally I generated a shot list for the video crew and worked to ensure that the footage we desired was captured at every phase of the event, after the event we worked with the production team to pull the videos together for the contest.
